Open Data Watch Assessed Positively National Statistics System Of Georgia
The Organization Open Data Watch has published the third report of Open Data Inventory(ODIN). The report contains the statistical data openness and full coverage issues, given on the official web-sites of statistics offices. https://vimeo.com/257123501?lite=1 
According to ODIN assessment, Georgia received an overall score of 55 in 2017, ranking 38th place out of 180 countries in the world and 1st in the region. The assessment elements are accessible by categories and criteria here: odin.opendatawatch.com/Report/countryProfile/GEO?appConfigId=4. 
The main objective of ODIN is the assessment of the openness of official statistics based on the open data. Open Data Watch has been conducting the assessment of data inventory and changes according to the world regions for already three years. 
In 2017 the open data assessment was conducted in 180 countries and covered 21 statistical categories including the following major areas of economic, social, demographic and environment statistics: population and vital statistics, education and healthcare, gender statistics, legal statistics, poverty indicators, national accounts, employment, price indices, government finances, banking sector, external trade, balance of payment, land use, energy data, environment pollution, etc. The assessment methodology according to each indicator is given on the web-page of Open Data Watch.
