Cooperation with Central Statistical Office of Poland
In 2011 projects in various fields are planned within the framework of the programme initiated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland “Polish Aid 2011”. Among a wide range of other directions, one of the issues under consideration is cooperation to develop statistics, regional reporting, in particular.
The full name of the project is “Support the development of the Georgian system of statistics in the field of regional accounts. Transfer of knowledge required to create the methodology of calculations of selected macroeconomic categories by territorial breakdown”.
Total cost of the project is 210 753 Polish Zlotys (proximately 128 000 GEL), duration – one year. The project is funded by the Polish government.

Management of the project:
Project is being governed by the Polish government, namely the Department of European Statistical System and International Cooperation of the Central Statistical Office.
During the project two missions of experts from regional statistical office in
Katowice are visiting
Georgia (each for 1 week) and one study visit of Georgian experts to
Poland.
