On July 25-26, 2019, in the framework of the regional conference: "Gender Statistics: Challenges and Opportunities for the Monitoring of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)", which was held on the occasion of 100th Years of Anniversary of the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT) and 20th Anniversary of Gender Statistics, the side-event "Data Hackathon on Gender" was held at Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel, aimed at awareness raising among the young people about statistics, promoting analytical data and developing innovative products.
The final product developed by the participants was evaluated by the commission, which included the representatives of the National Statistics Services as well as NGOs, international organizations, media and academia. The winners were also nominated, among which the honorable first place was given to 17-year-old Mariam Lomtatidze.
