Executive Director of the Legal Entity of Public Law – National Statistics Office of Georgia from February 2010 to November 2013. He has 15-years’ experience of working in the public sector, including the position of the Deputy Minister of Economic Development in 2005-2006 and the position of the Deputy Minister of Finance in 2009. In January 2010, he was appointed as the chairman of the State Department of Statistics. Being the Chairman, under his supervision, the State Department of Statistics was reorganized and created the new, independent Legal Entity of Public Law – the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT). |
In 2010-2013 years, he was a member of the Council of the European Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) on Partnership in Statistics for Development in the 21st Century (PARIS 21). He has been working for international organizations and advisory companies since 2013. |
Since 2015, he has been a consultant of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in the field of statistics. |
Zaza Chelidze graduated from Tbilisi State University faculty in economy. His qualifications include master’s degree of the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) Tokyo, Japan. |
He speaks English and Russian languages. |
He has a spouse and two children. |
