Main objectives – ENPARD, the EUR 52M EU-funded integral programme to support the agriculture sector in Georgia, is contributing significantly to the process of improving agriculture statistics in the country. In the context of ENPARD, the government of Georgia is committed to improve its agriculture statistics according to the standards set in the system of integrated agricultural censuses and surveys defined by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). If, by May 2015, the Government of Georgia has demonstrated such improvements, the EU will release EUR 1 million to Georgia as part as the EU budget support.
Main results – Data quality of agricultural statistics was improved.The number of agricultural statistical indicators was increased on the country and regional level.
