International Seminar on Recommendations for the 2020 round of Population Census

Today 4-day international seminar on recommendations for the 2020 round of population census was opened at the Hotel Vere Palace.
The main goal of the seminar is to introduce international recommendations and standards developed for the 2020 population census. Herewith, during the seminar countries will share experience on using modern technologies in the data collection process. The seminar will assist participant countries in planning and implementing population census.
The seminar is conducted with the support of United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD), United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and National Statistics Office of Georgia. The seminar is attended by the representatives of the South Caucasus, Central Asia and Eastern European national statistical offices, involved in the implementation of population census.
