International Experts will assess the statistical system of Georgia

The international Mission of the Adapted Global Assessment of the National Statistical System is on a one-week visit at the National Statistics Office of Georgia. The Mission includes representatives of the international organizations - Eurostat, the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), European Free trade Association (EFTA) and the statistical agencies of the EU countries.
The Mission aims to define the level of compliance of the statistical system of Georgia with the European standards. The program of the Mission also includes meetings with the main producers of official statistics, users of statistical information, scientific sircles and media as well.
At the end of the visit, the Mission will prepare an interim report including detailed recommendations, which will facilitate further development of the country's statistical system and its approximation to the European standards. The final report of the assessment, where the main recommendations will be highlighted, will be available for any user.
