From November 26 to November 30, National Statistics Office of Georgia hosts the Experts' Mission within the framework of the Technical Assistance and Information Exchange Instrument of the European Commission (TAIEX). Issues related to possibilities of the population register establishment in the country, sharing international experience and drafting recommendation reports are the main purposes of the visit.
During the meeting foreign experts will provide Georgian statisticians with recommendations on issues such as assessment of the current situation of institutional and technical capacity; Review of methodological issues for the establishment of the population register and its functioning; Strengthening legislative, institutional, technical, financial and human capacities necessary for the implementation of the population register etc. An action plan will be developed in line with international experience. 
The meetings with the representatives of various agencies are also planned during the visit.
