On February 14, 2019, high-level meeting was held in Tbilisi organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and Pacific (UN ESCAP). The main issue of the meeting was one of the main directions of the 2030 agenda of Sustainable Development Goals - the implementation of 7th goal of the 2030 agenda.
Mr. Gogita Todradze, Executive Director of National Statistics Office of Georgia welcomed the invited guests. Mr. Todradze underlined the role and importance of UNSCAP and relevant UN agencies in realization process of Sustainable Development Goals, especially in energy sector. The Executive Director of Geostat also highlighted the importance of the data on energy statistics, in terms of determining basic indicators for the nationalization of the SDG.
The thematic seminar and bilateral meetings were held in the framework of the event.
