The International Mission of the Adopted Global Assessment of National Statistical System of Georgia is on four-day visit at National Statistics Office of Georgia.
Geostat is hosting the experts for the second time. The mission includes representatives of International organizations - Eurostat, the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), European Free Trade Association (EFTA) and the statistical agencies of the EU countries.
The goal of the mission is to define the level of compliance of the statistical system of Georgia with the European Standards. The program of the Mission includes meetings with Geostat staff and users of Statistical information.
The national statistical system of the country is assessed by the experts for several months. The experts already have prepared the interim report of the assessment, including detailed recommendations to facilitate further development of statistical system of the country and its approximation with the European standards. The final report of the assessment with main recommendations will be available at Geostat’s web site for any user.
We would like to remind you that the first Adopted Global Assessment Mission visited Georgia in 2012.
