National Statistics Office of Georgia presented a new product – “Demographic Portal”. At the event held at the Tech Park Goergia, Geostat's Executive Director underlined the importance of the new product. According to Mr. Gogita Todradze, Demographic Portal is a new word in terms of visualization and dissemination of demographic data.
The new portal provides users with statistical information through a moving diagram (pyramid) regarding to the changes in the population composition by the sex and age over the years along with other demographic indicators. The portal enables to determine the life expectancy for a specific age in a gender perspective through an interactive calculator. An interactive diagram on marriages by sex and age is available on the portal as well.
The new Geostat product will be updated annually and will be available on the official website.
