Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the National Statistics Office of Georgia and the Association of Wheat and Flour Production of Georgia. On the same day a similar memorandum was signed with the Bread Producers' Union of Georgia. The documents set out the principles of cooperation between the parties.
The memorandum was signed by Geostat's Executive Director Mr. Gogita Todradze and the heads of both associations. According to the Executive Director of the Geostat, the document will facilitate the exchange of necessary and important information between the parties. As Mr. Gogita Todradze stated, the National Statistics Office is ready to cooperate with the parties on methodological issues and to organize thematic workshops on the basis of mutually beneficial recommendations.
According to Mr. Levan Silagava, Executive Director of the Georgian Wheat and Flour Production Association, the cooperation between the National Statistics Office of Georgia and the Georgian Wheat and Flour Production Association will provide business associations with high quality and objective statistical information.
