National Statistics Office of Georgia continues the information meetings in the regions. In Kutaisi, Mr. Gogita Todradze, Executive Director of Geostat held the meeting with Mr. Ioseb Khakhaleishvili the First Deputy State Representative-Governor in Imereti, on February 19, 2020. The meeting was attended by the Mayors of 12 municipalities of the region and the representatives of local government and Imereti Statistical Bureau.
The goal of the meeting was to introduce the local government with the future plans of Geostat and to identify their needs.
According to Mr. Gogita Todradze, Executive Director of Geostat, the use of regional statistical data will support local authorities to make the right decisions. Such information meetings are important and provide users with statistical information on issues they are interested in.
Geostat plans to hold consultations with local governments in all regions, that includes studying the needs and requirements at the regional and municipal levels and engaging in active dialogue with local authorities.
