Mr. Gogita Todradze, Executive Director of Geostat, participates in the UN World Data Forum, which is held from 3 to 6 October 2021, in Bern, Switzerland.
The World Data Forum brings together statisticians and data users from the private and public sectors, international and regional agencies, as well as the media, academia and civil society.
The forum covers several thematic areas, including the development of new opportunities for better data, innovations and modern technologies in the production of official statistics, increasing users’ trust in statistical data, etc.
At the opening session of the forum, the participants were addressed by Mr. Antonio Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN), Director of the United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD) and the Mayor of Bern.
Within the four-day forum, Mr. Gogita Todradze participates in various panel discussions and workshops organized by the UN and other international organizations.
The forum is attended by up to 1,500 representatives from more than 100 countries around the world, including heads of national statistical offices from various countries, representatives of international and local organizations, experts and senior officials.
