The Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the National Statistics Office of Georgia and the Social Service Agency. The bilateral document was signed by Mr. Gogita Todradze, Executive Director of Geostat, and Mr. Levan Gogodze, Acting Director of the Social Service Agency. The parties agreed on future cooperation.
The Memorandum prescribes the rights and responsibilities of the parties in the process of requesting and exchanging information and regulates this procedure in line with relevant legislation. In particular, Geostat shall provide the Social Services Agency with existing statistical products upon the interest, and the Agency shall provide Geostat with information within its competence.
"In the framework of the memorandum, Geostat will provide the Social Service Agency with the reliable, objective and detailed statistical information needed. Geostat will provide relevant consultations to the staff of the Agency on the use, processing of statistical data and other related issues, within the scope of its competence as well” - stated Mr. Gogita Todradze, Executive Director of Geostat.
“A memorandum of understanding has been signed between Geostat and the Social Agency, which supports the exchange of information between agencies in accordance with the legislation. The memorandum will allow us to make our cooperation more productive and purposeful” - claimed Mr. Levan Gogodze, Acting Director of the Social Service Agency.
The purpose of the memorandum is to ensure the effectiveness of the process of fulfilling the obligations undertaken by the parties. The establishment of a joint working group as needed is considered under the memorandum as well.
