On June 1, the International Day for the Protection of Children, the National Statistics Office of Georgia held a presentation of the children's portal - "Statistics for Kids and Teenagers" at Tbilisi Classical Gymnasium.
The Executive Director of Geostat introduced interesting and fun statistical facts about Georgia to the students of the Classical Gymnasium and filled different quizzes statistical tests with them.
The portal "Statistics for Kids and Teenagers" is intended for different age groups and the presentation was held for students of selected age categories respectively.
The portal consists of two main parts: the first section - "Statistics for Kids" - is intended for children aged 8-12. The topics presented in this section are tailored to the relevant target audience, including fun questions from a variety of categories such as: demographics, education, agriculture, etc. The portal also includes interesting facts about the regions of Georgia. The first part of the portal turned out to be interesting and fun for 6th grade students.
The second part of the teen-oriented portal was very interesting for 11th grade students. The second section - "Statistics for Teenagers" is intended for young people aged 13 to 19, and provides interesting information about our country and population. Through this section, teenagers are given the opportunity to solve a cognitive quiz and get acquainted with fun statistical facts.
As Mr. Gogita Todradze stated, the portal will significantly help kids and teenagers to deepen their knowledge in statistics, improve their ability to perceive and analyze information correctly, become more aware of children's rights and make evidence-based decisions.
The Executive Director of Geostat presented special diplomas to the most active students.
