Geostat has developed the price indexation calculator. A new electronic service is created according to Decree No. 753 of the Government of Georgia on "Approving the principles and rules of using price indexation for promoting the implementation of infrastructure projects". The purpose of the calculator is to offer construction companies using price indexation simple procedures, which will allow them to get a reference about price indexation online. For the purpose of indexation, the calculator uses the values of the chained Construction Cost Index (CCI).
The above-mentioned index is the average indicator of prices in the reporting period for construction materials and services, needed for the construction of various types of buildings, compared to the base period. The index covers the entire construction sector - both residential and non-residential segments, as well as civil construction. The calculator was created by Geostat in full compliance with the international methodology and based on the experience of different countries of the world.
