A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the National Statistics Office of Georgia and Grigol Robakidze University. The memorandum was signed by Mr. Gogita Todradze, Executive Director of Geostat and Mr. Mamuka Tavkhelidze, Rector of Grigol Robakidze University.
According to the signed document, the students of Grigol Robakidze University will undergo internships at Geostat, which will help them to deepen their knowledge and improve their practical skills. As Mr. Gogita Todradze, Executive Director of Geostat stated, such cooperation with higher education institutions is of high importance. According to him, on the one hand, it will promote the active involvement of students in the activities of Geostat, and on the other hand, the agency will enable outstanding students to create employment prospects.
The purpose of the memorandum is to promote the improving students' qualifications and development of professional skills through the joint efforts and support of the parties.
After the signing of the memorandum, the executive director of Geostat held a public lecture for the students of Grigol Robakidze University on the topic - "The main directions of the development of the official statistical system". Mr. Gogita Todradze introduced the students to the main directions of the development of the statistical system, the changes made in the statistical system in the recent period and the future plans. After the presentation, the meeting was held in a question-and-answer mode. Students and lecturers received detailed information on issues of interest to them.
