Large-scale trainings are being held for the field staff of the National Statistical Office of Georgia. The training is conducted with the financial support of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
260 field personnel of the Survey of Agricultural Holdings (interviewers, coordinators) are involved in the training. The Survey of Agricultural Holdings is the major source of official agricultural statistics.
The main purpose of the training is to improve the knowledge and skills of interviewers and coordinators of the Survey of Agricultural Holdings in survey methodology and issues related to the questionnaire, as well as modern methods of data collection. The representatives of the USDA will attend the training, who will share with the training participants the their experience of data collection and coordination of field work.
The training started on November 28 and will continue until December 8.
