External Merchandise Trade (excluding non-organized trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 9 244 million in 2011 (preliminary data) up 35 percent from the previous year. The volume of export grew by 39 percent and reached USD 2 189 million, while import increased by 34 percent with respect to the previous year and amounted USD 7 055 million. Trade deficit reached USD 4 865 million up 32 percent from 2010.
