Mr. Gogita Todradze, Executive Director of the National Statistics Office of Georgia participates in UN World Data Forum, which takes part on April 24- 27 in Hangzhou, People’s Republic of China.
The UN World Data Forum brings together statisticians and data users from the private and public sectors, international organizations and regional agencies, as well as the media, academia and civil society.
The forum covers several thematic areas, including the development of new opportunities for better data, innovations and modern technologies in the production of official statistics, increasing users’ trust in statistical data and to promote the use of data for better decision-making, and others.
Mr. Antonio Guterres, the Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN), Director of the United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD, the Vise Prime Minister of People’s Republic of China and other high representatives addressed to delegates at the opening UN World Data Forum
Within the UN World Data Forum Mr. Gogita Todradze took part in several panel discussion and meetings organized by the United Nations and other international organizations. During his statement, Mr. Todradze stated to the audience about the practice of producing the official statistics in the country, exciting challenges and the possibility of using alternative data sources.
More than 100 countries up to 2500 representatives from around the world participate in the Forum, including the different Heads of National Statistics Offices, representatives of international and local organizations, experts and senior officials.
