Mr. Gogita Todradze, the Executive Director of the National Statistical Office of Georgia, held a meeting with Mr. Erik Iles, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Sweden in Georgia, and Ms. Lela Bakradze, the Head of Office of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Georgia.
At the meeting, the Executive Director of the National Statistical Office of Georgia provided the representatives of the Embassy of Sweden and the the United Nations Population Fund on the progress of the preparatory work of the General Population Census 2024 as well as detailed information regarding the planned activities in 2024. The meeting also focused on the financing of activities related to the Census and the role of donors in the process of mobilizing financial resources.
At the meeting, Mr. Erik Iles, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Sweden in Georgia and Lela Bakradze, the Head of Office of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), emphasized the significance of the General Population Census and the necessity of donors' involvement in this process.
The participants of the meeting has agreed on further cooperation regarding the issues related to the General Population Census.
