Meeting with the students of 52 Public school

The National Statistics Office of Georgia held a presentation of the children's portal - "Statistics for Kids and Teenagers" for 10th grade students of #52 public school of Georga on June 1, the International Day for the Protection of Children. 

 

 The Executive Director of Geostat introduced interesting and fun statistical facts about Georgia to the students and filled different quizzes statistical tests with them.

 

The portal "Statistics for Kids and Teenagers" is intended for different age groups and consists of two main parts. The first part - "Statistics for kids" - is intended for children aged 8 to 12 years, and the second part, "Statistics for Teenagers- for young people aged 13 to 19 years.

 

The second part of the teen-oriented portal was very interesting for 10th grade students of 52 Public school. The second section - "Statistics for Teenagers" is intended for young people aged 13 to 19, and provides interesting information about our country and population. Through this section, teenagers are given the opportunity to solve a cognitive quiz and get acquainted with fun statistical facts.

 

The students also visited the statistical museum at the Geostat’s headquater, where the historical computer equipment’s and century old devices are located.  

 

As Mr. Gogita Todradze stated, the portal will significantly help kids and teenagers to deepen their knowledge in statistics, improve their ability to perceive and analyze information correctly, become more aware of children's rights and make the evidence-based decisions.

 

The National Statistics Office of Georgia plans to hold the educational meetings for teenagers in future.
