The National Statistics Office of Georgia introduced an interactive portal – the Statistical Portal on Children and Youth. Mr. Gogita Todradze, Executive Director of Geostat, and Ms. Amy Clancy, the Deputy Representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund in Georgia, addressed the audience. According to Mr. Gogita Todradze, the Statistical Portal on Children and Youth enables users to access comprehensive information about children and youth in one place.
This portal was developed by Geostat with financial support from the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
Statistical information regarding children and youth is presented on the portal in an easily comprehensible format. It provides users with the opportunity to explore and analyze statistical data about children and youth in one place, using interactive infographics and modern visualization elements. The portal comprises ten modules covering population, health care, education, social security, living conditions, employment and unemployment, tourism, information and communication technologies (ICT), and more.
Furthermore, the portal presents indicators of sustainable development related to children and youth, statistical publications, relevant legislation, links, and other vital information.
The main objective of Geostat is to produce and offer the public high-quality data in a format that enhances its usability and contributes to improved planning and decision-making processes at all levels.
