Recently, the National Statistics Office of Georgia hosted students of the Eco and STEAM clubs under Guram Ramishvili Tbilisi 20th Public School as part of an educational tour.
During the visit, the children were introduced with the general principles of Geostat’s activities and the century-long history of the Office. In addition, they visited the statistical museum, where photographic materials and computing equipment representing the hundred-year history of the institute are located.
Traditionally, Mr. Gogita Todradze, Executive Director of Geostat, presented the interactive web portal, "Statistics for Kids and Teenagers", specially tailored for their age group. Mr. Todradze engaged children with interesting and funny statistical facts, completed educational quizzes with them and handed out memorable certificates.
In the future, Geostat actively plans to continue to carry out educational meetings for adults.
