From May 13 to May 24, an expert from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is on a working visit to Geosat. The purpose of the visit is to facilitate the production of the main accounts of the national accounts system according to the institutional sectors of the economy (non-financial corporations, financial corporations, the public sector, households, and non-profit organizations serving households).
The production of sectoral accounts is a key requirement of the Statistical Requirements Compendium of Eurostat and is also a component of the action plan for the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) with the European Union.
Geostat plans to publish experimental sectoral accounts in 2024
