The guests who came to celebrate the annual city festival Tbilisoba had the opportunity to get additional information about the 2024 Population and Agricultural Census. Hundreds of people at Rike Park were able to get more information about the date of the census, its goals and objectives, as well as data collection methods, methodology, and the content of the questionnaire at the Geostat banner.
Geostat representatives held several meetings with citizens at Rike Park on October 5 – 6, 2024. They also distributed information booklets, branded t-shirts and hats.
Mr.Gogita Todradze Executive Director of Geostat greeted the citizens who came at the banner and provided detailed information about the census on the final day of Geostat activities. Mr. Gogita Todradze also talked about the employment opportunities within the framework of census and answered number of questions.
The Population Census in Georgia will be conducted from November 14 to December 19, however, due to possible deterioration of the weather and difficult meteorological conditions, in some high-mountainous and hard-to-reach administrative units, namely - Mestia, Lentekhi, Kazbegi, in some administrative units of Dusheti (Gudamakari, Kvesheti, Khevsureti, Ukanapshavi, Shatili , Magharoskari and Pasanauri) and Akhmeta municipality ( only in the administrative unit of Omalo), the Population Census will be conducted in the period from September 18 to October 8, 2024.
