A memorandum was signed between Geostat and Sakpatenti

A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the National Statistics Office of Georgia and the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia. The bilateral document was signed by Mr. Gogita Todradze, Executive Director of Geostat and Mr. Soso Giorgadze, Chairman of the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia.

 

The purpose of the memorandum is to deepen cooperation between the parties. Additionally, based on shared interests, the memorandum aims to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and experience within the framework of jointly planned activities, which will contribute to the protection of intellectual property in the country, raising awareness in the field of intellectual property, and increasing awareness of the products/services of the National Statistics Office of Georgia.

 

According to the Executive Director of the National Statistics Office, Mr. Gogita Todradze, the memorandum will ensure close cooperation between the parties.

 

"Today, a memorandum was signed between the National Statistics Office and the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia, with the goal of effectively developing and strengthening the field of intellectual property through joint efforts, and by sharing knowledge and experience. We have agreed to plan and implement activities that will contribute to increasing awareness about both fields and spreading relevant knowledge among the wider public. Furthermore, the parties will actively participate in conferences and seminars aimed at sharing new trends and knowledge in the field,"- stated Mr. Gogita Todradze.

 

As stated by the Chairman of the National Intellectual Property Center, Mr. Soso Giorgadze, planning and implementing joint events is important for raising public awareness about the products/services of the National Statistics Office of Georgia and the field of intellectual property.

 

"Planning and implementing joint events within the framework of the memorandum aims to raise public awareness about the products and services of the National Statistics Office of Georgia, as well as the field of intellectual property. We have agreed on the planning of activities to hold meetings, consultations, and other types of events among sectoral experts, which will ensure the effective exchange of information and progress in the areas of mutual interest," - stated Mr. Soso Giorgadze.

 

In accordance with the memorandum, to ensure the effectiveness of fulfilling the obligations undertaken by the parties, working meetings organization , the designation of contact persons, and the signing of individual agreements by both parties are planned as needed.
