The working meeting was held between the management of Geostat and the representatives of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) in National Statistics Office of Georgia on 13 September.
The parties discussed the progress of ongoing projects between Geostat and USDA and plans for future cooperation. In particular, Geostat plans to collect data of agricultural sampling survey by means of tablets, which will improve the quality of data of agricultural statistics and will reduce the terms of disseminating data. USDA will provide technical assistance in preparatory works for Geostat, will send the expert missions and assist in training field staff.
We would like to remind you, that Geostat has been actively cooperating with the United States Department of Agriculture since 2005 in terms of developing agricultural statistics.
